This was quite fun.
The voices in this film (especially Gaston's) are really great.
It is a pre Hays Code movie and is starkly immoral next to the "coded" films that followed.
The Hayes Codes were so effective that after some point you stop even thinking about the things you are not seeing in coded film. Walking back just a few years to a movie like this is striking. Tame by modern standards, but you realize just how powerful a force mass censorship can be.
